Hope Center is a non-profit organization that has been preventing homelessness by providing the basic needs of financial assistance, food, clothing and furniture in Waukesha County for more than twenty years. Our primary focus is providing these basic needs so that people can keep their homes and apartments and make ends meet.

The numbers tell the story best: In 2012 over 20,000 visits were made to our free clothing shop and over 100,000 articles were given away; over 12,000 free breakfasts were served; 13,000 free lunches were served; over 14,000 free dinners were served; over 1,900 free furniture deliveries were made; over 3,000 visits with our social minister were made; 397 people were seen by our free outreach nurse and 350 people were referred for free legal services. Our drop-in shelter is also open daily so that people had a place to stay during the day.

All of these goods and services were provided through a network of almost 900 volunteers donating over 27,000 hours of their time. Another key to Hope Center's success is the generosity of the community, donating 348,000 items of clothing, $118,000 worth of food items and over 2,500 furniture items in 2012.

In these difficult economic times, more people than ever are coming to Hope Center for help in making ends meet. We continue to provide these services in a cost-effective manner through heavy reliance on volunteers, donated items and your financial support.
